Stuffed French toast is SO filling and delicious- wish it came in a half order though. There's no way a normal person could finish an order and whose eating leftover French toast? So I end up wasting it and throwing what's left away. Everything here is pretty good, but at its roots it's just a Coney Island with higher prices because they threw the word "BISTRO" in their name.
Have had breakfast here many times, always a good meal. Enjoy the corned beef hash and eggs.
Great brunch or breakfast location. They have great omelettes and breakfast specials. Very affordable. I had the avocado toast recently. It was quite nice. The omelettes are great, as are the waffles. I occasionally stop in for lunch with my wife in the weekend. Service is friendly and courteous, the food is great and the price is reasonable. Oh and they have a liquor license so we could indulge in an adult beverage with our brunch or lunch, too! PS the cheesecake is great- they get it from a local bakery in Swartz Creek. They have multiple flavor options and you can buy it by slice or the full cheesecake for events.
Pretty decent brunch/lunch place. We stopped in a couple of weeks ago. My husband and I grabbed the pita chip/homemade hummus dip appetizer to split and I had a Caesar salad with a side of garlic toast, while my husband opted for a fish sandwich. My salad was the small order and it was huge. I couldn't even finish it! Imagine if I had ordered the large portion? We also ordered craft beers from the bar. Did I mention that they have a full bar???? Yeppers, they definitely do. How nice is that? They had a full bar featuring about a dozen craft beers on tap, a full line of wine, assorted bottled beers and a host of craft cocktail options in the drinks menu, including specialty mimosas, old fashioneds, martinis, whiskey sours, cosmos, and much more. My friend had a couple of mimosas and she said they were great. They looked great, too, and the prices for all of their cocktails were quite reasonable. I was pleased they actually had my favorite standby beer, Stella Artois, so I ordered that. At any rate, my salad was quite good and my husband liked his fish sandwich. As for the outa chips and hummus, it was quite decent. The chips were good, maybe a bit over fried or slightly greasy, but very flavorful. The hummus dip was plentiful and has a nice texture and flavor. It wasn't superb, but it was definitely passable and better quality in comparison to a few other restaurants in which I've tried their hummus. All in all, pretty decent! As for size, the pita chip/hummus dip appetizer was definitely large enough for two two people to share. Overall, the service was great and the servers are friendly and food and drinks were on the table in a reasonable period of time. We were seated immediately after we walked in. Our server checked in on us periodically and we didn't need to wave to get our server's attention, which we hate doing, but had to at a few other local eateries. This was our first time eating here and it didn't disappoint. As a bistro (note, this isn't really your typical diner//Coney Island or family restaurant. Hello, it's a bistro and has a full bar, so keep that in mind when dining here), the menu had plenty of healthier fare, some vegetarian choices and plenty of pasta and salad dishes). I liked the vegetarian options and lighter fare, as well as the pared-down emphasis on typical Coney Island options. Yes, they do offer a coney dog on the menu, but that's pretty much it for typical diner cuisine, and that doesn't bother me at all. I don't typically like diners/coney islands, so I liked the fact this wasn't a traditional open-face hot meat sandwich, meatloaf, fried chicken kind of place. If that's what you're looking for, eat at a diner/family restaurant. The location is a little out of the way, although it's located in a small strip mall. The interior seemed nicely decorated and must've been updated quite recently. It was clean and quiet and the ambiance was perfect for a quiet brunch/lunch. Overall, four stars. We'll definitely stop in again and try one of the craft cocktails with brunch when we're in the area again.
